d end is near
six days to go.. and we are about to say goodbye to the pueblo where we touched each others' lives.. we will never forget all the tears we wept and the laughters we had during our victorious moments.. we have been a part of each others' lives.. and this special year will always be remembered.. while we go in separate ways, we will always bring in our hearts the memories we had and the lessons we learned.. though we experienced hardships and misunderstandings, we will remain solid and invincible.. thnx to all our teachers who taught us every lesson in life.. thnx for being patient and loving.. thnx to ms rivera, our ever loving adviser who supported and loved us as her daughters.. we will never forget you.. :)

1. Comment on the historical background of the setting, its people and culture; and relate it to the events in the story.
2. What happens when “things fall apart”? When do you say that things have fallen apart?
3. Could this story be an autobiography? Prove your answer by citing instances in the story and the author’s life.
4. If Okonkwo would have a counterpart in the Philippine setting, who could he be and why? Discuss your answer by citing instances/events in the story.

6. Think of a symbolism that can best capture the relevance/ theme of the story. Discuss extensively.
7. Quote one wise saying/proverb in the story and relate it to your personal life or the Philippine scenario.

losing temper..
There once was a little boy who had a bad
temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails
and told him that every time he lost his
temper, he must hammer a nail into the back
of the fence... The first day the boy had
driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next
few weeks, as he learned to control his
anger, the number of nails hammered daily
gradually dwindled down. He discovered
it was easier to hold his temper than to
drive those nails into the fence.
Finally the day came when the boy didn't
lose his temper at all. He told his father
about it and the father suggested that the
boy now pull out one nail for each day that
he was able to hold his temper...
The days passed and the young boy was finally
able to tell his father that all the nails
were gone. The father took his son by the
hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You
have done well, my son, but look at the
holes in the fence. The fence will never be
the same. When you say things in anger,
they leave a scar just like this one. You
can put a knife in a man and draw it out.
It won't matter how many times you say I'm
sorry, the wound is still there. " A verbal
wound is as bad as a physical one.
Friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They
make you smile and encourage you to succeed.
They lend an ear, they share words of praise
and they always want to open their hearts to us."

gurl thing
heya. its a gurly blog. i knw its the frst thng that will come to ur mind. as always, my blog is color pink. u have to b used to it. i have made and deleted at least five blogs coz i can't find the right one. i hope ds time this wud b better.
y do i choose pink?
coz it's unique! and it is made especially for gurls. haha. i jst love pink. as well as purple and blue. they jst blend well. haha. :)
